It's been a long, long, long, long time & there's good reason. I do my best art when I'm depressed. For whatever reason happiness & inspiration do not go hand-in-hand for me. Recently, I've been the happiest I've ever been in my life. And I'm not complaining, not at all.

When I went to school in Columbus, I knew I always wanted to move back to this city. Things could not have played out more perfectly. This is where I'm meant to be.

June 2 - Met the undoubted love of my life who shipped off a week later for a summer-long internship in Washington, D.C.

August 18 - Flew for the first time in my life (!!) to D.C. to see the city & to fly back with John

Sept 22 - Traded in my Trailblazer for a Cobalt, my very first car in my own name

October 6 - Quit my job in Lexington & moved temporarily to John's place in Columbus to search for jobs

November 1 - Began work on the SBC/AT&T project

February 11 - Moved into my very own first place only 10 minutes from John's

I'm still working on the AT&T project, raking in some dough, paying the bills. I go out a lot; John's friends (some who I knew before I knew him) are all so much fun. I know roughly 2 chicks in this whole city & I love it. I've always preferred hanging out with boys. Michelle came & visited me 2 weeks ago though & I finally made it back up to visit Sarah in MI for a couple days right after that. John practically lives at my place; he's slept there every night since I moved in. So many things have happened that I never pictured happening & they are all wonderful. The conditions for me to come down here were all so perfect. It was a bit crazy, but everything just fell together & I knew I had to take the chance while I could. I'm so glad I did.

I sincerely hope that everyone I know is as happy (& more importantly, as satisfied) as I am right now. But not that happy for too long, otherwise you'll forget to appreciate it.
